‘RandomMe’ is a software (programmed with Max/Msp) + 1 PC + 1 AV/DV Converter + 4 CCTV video camera + 1 Quad Video Processor + 1 LCD monitor:

This project films and records randomly the activities of space into a buffer (buffer= memory allocated in the computer). Simultaneously the software plays this buffer. Since all the architectural elements are fixed the footage shows what seams to be at first a “regular” CCTV footage of a space, but the events are recorded randomly (frame by frame). Thus it is impossible to have a linear reading of what is happening. The buffer can present real time events and past events at the same time. People can still be visible even they are no longer been recorded by the camera. They will be visible (or at least few frames) until the buffer gets completely overwritten. -Benjamin Gaulon
